Thick-It 2 Concentrated Instant Food Thickener 10oz

  Thick-It Instant Food Thickener quickly and easily thickens beverages and pureed foods without changing their appearance, aroma or taste. It is used by healthcare professionals in hospitals and nursing homes for people experiencing swallowing problems or dysphagia.

ADA Exchange: 1 Tablespoon of Thick-It 2 = 1/3 Fruit Exchange = 4g Carbohydrates (metabolized like fruit sugar).

Sprinkle in Thick-It 2 while stirring briskly until dissolved. Or use a hand mixer or blender at low speed for no more than 5-10 seconds. Do Not Overmix. After mixing, wait 30 seconds for liquid to thicken.

  Desired Consistency (Recommended usage per 4 fl oz):
  • For Liquids
    • Nectar consistency, 2 tsp-1 tbsp;
    • Honey consistency, 1 - 1-1/2 tbsp;
    • Pudding consistency, 1-1/2 - 2 tbsp.
    For Pureed Foods
    • Nectar consistency, 1/2 tsp;
    • Honey consistency, 1 tsp;
    • Pudding consistency, 1/2 tbsp.
  • For Nutritional Supplements
    • Nectar consistency, 1 - 1-1/2 tbsp;
    • Honey consistency, 2 tbsp;
