Copper Power Green for Freshwater by Endich Inc easily treats and prevents external parasites, ich and fungus for your fish, through metallic complexes such as copper, nickel and zinc (5 ppm total metals). Although these complexes may be harmful on their own, this method uses a chelating agent which detoxifies them from your plants and fish; however, remaining toxic to only the disease. By adding a single dose of Copper Power once, it will stay at an active level in your aquarium for months. If any of these diseases occur during this time period, Copper Power will begin to fight off the disease in full potency without you even knowing. Not to worry, this solution will not be removed by your carbon filtration and will not cloud the water. To determine if Copper Power still exists in your aquarium water, this can easily be checked using a copper test kit.
